Medicines Order Line

As the Easter bank holidays approach, please be advised that the Medicine Order Line (MOL) will be closed on Good Friday (29th March) and Easter Monday (1st April). Our regular opening hours, from 8am to 4pm, will be maintained on all other working days.

Due to the increased demand, we expect the MOL to experience higher than usual call volume during this time.

To mitigate the expected surge in demand and to manage prescription requests effectively, the MOL will adhere to our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for bank holidays. Prescription requests will be accepted up to 14 days before the due date (as opposed to the usual 7 days).

Controlled Drugs will be handled in accordance with SOPs, with future dating aligned to the due date on the clinical system. These items will not be issued any earlier however if the due date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, then they will be future dated to the working day prior to this (allowing for pharmacies to order in any stock needed).
