staff are all here to help you make the best use of the services which
we provide. They attend initial and continued training programmes in
order to provide an efficient and friendly service. Practice ManagerSharon Draper Has overall responsibility for running the practice. Deputy Practice ManagerShirley Ford Surpports the practice manager SecretaryJulie Shepperson AdministratorsSharon Smithurst, Debbie Parkin, Celine Hill and Monica Baker The administrators deal with general office duties, reception and managerial support. ReceptionistsSue Sadler, Carole Baxter, Dorothy Cordwell, Barbara Doak, Glynis Bunting, Kirsty Summerfield, Joanne Smith, Victoria Darnell and Monica Baker. Triage NurseMelissa Knighton Our triage nurse is available to deal with patients on the telephone giving medical advice and assessing visit requests. She also sees patients in her 'minor illness' clinics. Practice NursesVictoria Hetherington and Sarah Goodwin The practice nurses are available to see patients for well person checks, blood pressure monitoring, cervical smears, travel immunisations and give general advice on healthy living. They also do regular reviews for patients, and run a 'minor illness' clinic. Our health care assistant supports them in their duties. Attached StaffAttached staff are employed by Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust and work closely with us from the surgery. District NursesMary Woolley, Tia Richards and Jeanette Bostock District nurses carry out nursing duties such as dressings and injections in the patient's own home for those unable to attend the surgery. Appointments can be made in reception. They are assisted in their duties by health care assistants. Community MidwifeAndrea Morris The midwife runs the weekly antenatal clinics,
holds relaxation classes for expectant mothers and visits mothers at
home during the first two weeks after delivery. Health
